Just like many other tires from Vittoria, the Zaffiro Pro Control has been updated and now uses their Graphene 2.0 compound. The Zaffiro Pro is a low price range tire positioned under Vittoria's slightly more expensive Rubino line of road bike tires. Vittoria advertises the Zaffiro Pro as a "Performance Training" tire that includes a strong nylon casing, good grip, and a long tread life.
The Zaffiro Pro looks like a decent tire as it comes with folding beads, a 60 TPI nylon casing, single compound Graphene 2.0 compound, and an acceptable weight. Vittoria also offers an even cheaper Zaffiro (non-Pro) that comes with wire beads, a 26 TPI nylon casing, a cheaper non-Graphene compound.
As always, we recommend to at least go with the folding bead versions of the cheap tires as they are often just a slight bit more expensive and the weight savings and overall quality of the tires is definitely worth it.
